The top-of-the-line 318 models cost $200,000 each once fully kitted out, and caused some excitement when they were delivered to Mildura on Tuesday.
Northern Mallee regional ambulance group manager Steve Fumberger said the ambulances were destined for Mildura and Swan Hill, but would be used where required.
“As part of our replacement scheme, our cars are replaced every eight years, or 23,000km,” Mr Fumberger said.
Mr Fumberger said the Mercedes Benz had proven to be a good, safe car.
